What You Need To Be Successful

Thought Leadership. This one may sound obvious but recruiting credible presenters with audiences of their own will help ensure online chatter about the event. And making sure that presentation topics are relevant and comprehensive will increase the likelihood of ongoing shares or views if you decide to promote the video presentations on-demand afterwards. Most online conference platforms will provide a way to make presentation videos on-demand after the conference. During virtual conferences of our own, if attendees had a scheduling conflict they could still register for the event and be emailed the presentation recordings the following day increasing visibility.

Get a Conversation Started. Some conference platforms will offer some type of “virtual lounge” for attendees to interact, ask questions, or download resources. Aside from a day-of-event lounge, starting a conversation using a hash tag on social media and providing attendees with email updates are great ways to keep up the camaraderie. At GroupHigh, we let attendees know to use the tag #outreachmarketing to interact with the conversation and send emails the day before and morning of the event. Event promotion is a great way for us to engage with our existing client base as well, with nearly 30% of our users attending the Outreach Marketing Virtual Summits on average.
